Imperial Chocolate-Peanut Butter Stout at Hopjacks Filling Station Tonight

We're big fans of Pensacola Bay Brewery's Imperial Blackbeard Stout, so we are really excited about today's collaboration between Hopjacks Filling Station general manager Zack Boudreaux and Rogers Conolly of Pensacola Bay Brewery.

At 7pm tonight a special firkin of Imperial Blackbeard Stout with chocolate and Peanut Butter will be tapped. Sounds delicious! Get there early to make sure you get a pint!

Props Brewery Announces Expansion

Props Brewery & Grill recently posted on Facebook about their plans for expansion:

Props Brewery & Grill is excited to announce that our expansion has begun. Remodeling has started so we can put in more seating area as well as more storage and production area for our beer. Our 3 new fermenters are scheduled to arrive this week. It is only a coincidence that the unit we are moving into is unit B17, the same name of the WWII workhorse called the Flying Fortress.

According to their website, the three fermenters mentioned in the post are three new 15 barrel (bbl) fermenters. They also plan to begin distribution in late Winter / early Spring.

Gary's Home Brew Supply Customer Appreciation Event

Gary's Home Brew Supply will be holding a Customer Appreciation Event this Saturday, November 23rd from 3pm - 7pm. Rogers Conolly, Head Brewer at Pensacola Bay Brewery is going to be present to discuss beer styles and answer questions about brewing techniques.

Gary has been a long time source of home brew supplies in the Pensacola area and opened his store earlier this year, holding a grand opening on October 5th, 2013. If you are already into home brewing and haven't visited yet, make plans to visit now. If you're interested in taking up home brewing, I promise you it is a rewarding experience. Visiting Gary's Home Brew Supply would be a great way to find out more and get the supplies you need to start!

The Hilton Pensacola Beach is hosting a Back Forty Brewery Dinner tonight, November 14th. Back Forty is located in Gadsden, AL and arrived in the FL Panhandle this summer. So check out the menu and beer pairings for the event and then make your reservations.

2013 Pensacola Craft Beer Festival

Along with cooler weather November brings us the second annual 2013 Pensacola Craft Beer Festival. Once again taking place at beautiful Pensacola Bayfront Stadium, the festival will cover two days, Friday, November 15th and Saturday, November 16th.

Attendees will be allowed unlimited samples of beers from craft breweries as well as specialty bottled beers. You can check out a list of breweries participating on the Pensacola Craft Beer Festival website.

Friday's VIP tasting (there is no general admission for Friday) will take place from 6pm-9pm. Buffet food, VIP parking, and an open bar will be included, as well as music from the Modern Eldorados Band and a fireworks display.

The second day of the festival takes place Saturday from 1pm-4pm for those with general admission tickets. Food and art vendors will be available, and concerts will be provided by Parmalee and Little Texas.

Those with VIP tickets gain early entrance to the festival at noon, VIP parking, specialty beers, a buffet, and front row seating for both concerts.

Other weekend activities will include a First Tee Golf Scramble with craft beer at every other hole, and the Hill-Kelly car show.

A weekend VIP ticket covering both Friday and Saturday is $139, while a VIP ticket for only Friday (no general admission) is $49. General admission tickets for Saturday are $34, and VIP tickets for Saturday will cost you $99.

A designated driver ticket (no beer) will cost $9 for each day. Tickets are limited to 1500 online and 1500 at the door, and IDs will be checked.
