Pensacola Beer Attends Hopjacks Filling Station Grand Opening

Hopjacks Filling Station held their official Grand Opening this past Friday and Pensacola Beer was there. Billed as a 'craft beer specialty retail store and tasting bar with artisanal food product offerings', the festivities started at 3 pm.

Rainy Day

I arrived around 3:15 in a pouring rain. Despite the weather people were already inside checking out Hopjacks' newest venture and extensive beer selection.

Free Sample

I was greeted at the door by an employee ready to answer any questions while offering a free sample of Green Flash West Coast IPA. A great first impression.

Hopjacks Filling Station Grand Opening

Today is the grand opening celebration for Hopjacks Filling Station. The specialty retail store (emporium) opens at 3 p.m. with beer tasting all day, ladies wine tasting from 5 - 7 p.m., raffles, prizes, and hourly giveways until closing at 2 a.m.

Hopjacks “Filling Station” is a small yet well stocked craft beer specialty retail store (emporium) and tasting bar with artisanal food product offerings. Hopjacks Filling Station is managed and staffed by Tim Dohms, one of the foremost beer experts in the area, who writes the “Beer Garden” weekly column in the Pensacola News Journal and who has been syndicated in numerous online blogs and magazines for his extensive beer knowledge. Employees are dressed in blue jeans and custom “mechanics style” button down shirts.

Hopjacks newest establishment includes a tasting room, retail beer sales, and cured meats & cheeses, along with 33 taps and hundreds of bottled beers.

The Hopjacks Filling Station is located at 3101 E Cervantes Street and is sure to be a great addition to the growing Pensacola Craft Beer scene. You can do your part in supporting that scene along with local businesses by stopping by and participating in the festivities. Sounds like a great time!
