Ready Pensacola? Let the 2012 Beer Festivities Commence!
/Summer may be winding down but that doesn't mean an end to the fun as we are now officially entering beer festival season. Now is the time to start planning which events you would like to attend, while tickets are readily available. Attending local beer festivals is a great way to learn more about craft beer and mingle with other craft beer enthusiasts. Supporting local events is also a great way to support local businesses and promote the Pensacola area as a thriving and growing craft beer community. Last but not least, most of these festivals also support charitable causes. To help you decide which events you want to attend, we've put together the list below. Emerald Coast Beer Festival

The Emerald Coast Beer Festival, brought to you by Escambia Bay Homebrewers, has a very impressive list of participating breweries and homebrew clubs which you can find on their website. You will also find a list of food vendors and entertainment that will be present, making this an event not to be missed.
1st German Oktoberfest Pensacola

This first annual German Oktoberfest, presented by MAXimal Tours & Events, provides everything you need to celebrate Oktoberfest properly. Meaning Brats and Pretzels to munch on, a German Band for entertainment, and most importantly authentic Bavarian beer brewed by Pensacola Bay Brewery.
Destin Beer Festival
Saturday, October 13th
Destin Wine World, Destin, FL

Formerly called the Greater Gulf Coast Beer Festival, the Destin Beer Festival is brought to you by Chan's Wine World. This event promises to be a wonderful day in beautiful Destin drinking specialty brews, eating delicious food and enjoying live entertainment. Though a complete list of participating breweries has not been posted yet, they are posting a growing number of outstanding breweries on their facebook page.
Baytowne Wharf Beer Fest
Friday & Saturday, October 19th - 20th
Baytowne Wharf, Sandestin, FL

This will be the 5th Annual Baytowne Wharf Beer Fest presented by the Village of Baytowne Wharf. Only a partial list of participating breweries has been posted on their site but they state that it will feature 40 on-site craft brewers and more than 100 domestic and international craft beers for sampling. Live music will be featured thoughout the weekend.
Pensacola Kraft Bier Festival
Saturday, November 17th
Bayfront Stadium, Pensacola, FL

The Pensacola Kraft Bier Festival is being held at the home of the Blue Wahoos and they have already started to gather a wonderful list of participating breweries. The festival will also include a Mopar Muscle Car Show, Airforce vs. Navy Exhibition Softball Game, and a fireworks show.
