Happy Halloween from Pensacola Beer!

If you're looking to combine your Halloween celebration with great beer there's plenty of options in Pensacola tonight.

Hopjacks on 9 mile will be offering a hand-crafted vodka-infusion called Spooky Juice for 3 dollars all night, along with Scary Karaoke. If you arrive in costume you'll also get a free shot. Not bad.

World of beer will hold a costume contest tonight with the winner chosen at 11:00 pm. Register your costume from 9:30 pm to 10:30 pm to be eligible. The winner will receive a 200.00 dollar World of Beer gift card. That's a lot of free beer! Pumpkin beers are a dollar off and all Dead Guys beer are 4 bucks.

Seville Quarter will be hosting Pensacola's largest Halloween costume contest starting at 9:00 pm in Phineas Phogg's. You can register your costume at 7:00 pm. The top 20 costumes will receive prizes, and first prize is 1000.00 dollars cash. Wow.

It's Halloween trivia night at Goat Lips Deli Dinner House & Sports Pub with 1.00 off Shipyard Pumpkinhead drafts all night long.

The Tin Cow is having their 1st Annual Halloween Bash with drink specials and a costume contest featuring $1500.00 dollars in cash prizes.

And come in Costume to the Pensacola Bay Brewery and get your first beer free. Can't beat that!

World of Beer's Pumpkin Patch Party

World of Beer - Palafox will be hosting a Pumpkin Patch Party this Sunday, October 26th, from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm.

The party will include pumpkin (complimentary pumpkins!) carving on the WOB patio, the roasting up of pumpkin seeds, as well as sampling of pumpkin beers. The following beers are going to be available on tap:

Aloha Wine & Beer Walkabout

Aloha Wine & Liquor will be hosting a Wine & Beer Walkabout this Saturday from 12:30 - 3:00 pm.

We're going on Walkabout...well just a short walk around the parking lot. Join us for an outdoor wine tasting featuring wines and beers from our awesome distributors.

We are setting up tents and inviting you to enjoy an early afternoon of Wine, beer, food and music. Taste over 40 awesome wines and lots of new craft beer selections. Door prizes and store specials throughout the day including discounts with your event ticket. Parking is available for free just east of the store at the Avalex complex. Though there's no list of craft beers available, there will be selections from distributers Lewis Bear, GoldRing Gulf, and Microman.

It's Halloween at Hopjacks Filling Station

Hopjacks Filling Station is in the Halloween spirit. Last night they hosted a 'Scary Suds Beer Tasting' with Pensacola News Journal 'Beer Garden' columnist Tim Dohms. The Halloween sampling of frightening ale and lager included the following beers:

If you missed the tasting last night, be sure to check out their beer-themed Halloween costume contest this Saturday from 7-9pm. Hopjacks Filling Station is located at 3101 E Cervantes Street with on-site parking. Sounds like a fun time.

"HOPS & HARVEST" AT JACKSON'S

Jackson's Steak House will be holding a handcrafted beer and food event tonight at 5:30 pm. The featured brewery will be Bayou Teche Brewing out of Louisiana. Started in 2009, the brewery was founded on a simple dream: to craft beers that compliment the cuisine and lifestyle of Cajuns and Creoles.

The event cost is 55 dollars per person (excluding tax and gratuity) and will feature 4 beers and 5 courses. Representatives from the brewery will be on hand to discuss their beers and how they're made.

As of 3:00 pm today tables were sold out. However, the bar was open to the same beer and food parings on a first-come first-served basis. Sounds like great time in downtown Pensacola so don't delay!

Baytowne Beer Fest Oct 19 & 20

The Fifth Annual Baytowne Beer Festival takes place this weekend, October 19th and 20th at Sandestin Golf & Beach Resort. The festival includes three separate events: A Beer Pairing Dinner, A Beer Seminar, and the Beer Sampling main event.

The beer pairing dinner themed "Beer from Around Here" will be held at Marlin Grill on Friday, October 19th at 6pm. Various BBQ plates will be paired with locally produced beer from Grayton Beer Company, Lazy Magnolia, Abita Beer, Pensacola Bay Brewery, and Red Brick Brewing. Tickets are $35 and can be bought online or at the Marlin Grill.

The seminar “Three Decades of Craft Beer: A Taste of History and Today” will be held at on Friday, October 19th at the Funky Blues Shack - Baytowne Wharf location. This event gives participants a chance to compare and sample a variety of beers and will be presented by John Holl, an award-winning author, journalist and beer expert. Tickets are $15 and can be bought online or at the Funky Blues Shack - Baytowne Wharf location.

The main event takes place on Saturday, October 20th, where participants will have the opportunity to sample beers from a selection of more than 200 domestic and international craft beers. Live music will be provided by Wes Heath and the Whiskey Band (2-4pm) and The Modern Eldorados (4-6pm). Check out the Baytowne Beer Festival website for a complete list of participating breweries. Tickets are $25 for presale and can be bought online. Tickets the day of will be $30.

Destin Beer Festival Oct 13

Formerly called the Greater Gulf Coast Beer Festival, the Destin Beer Festival is brought to you by the folks at Chan's Wine World and is taking place this Saturday, October 13, from 2 to 5 p.m. (the VIP event starts at 1pm.)

This event promises to be a wonderful day in beautiful Destin drinking specialty brews, eating delicious food, and enjoying live entertainment. The complete list of participating breweries can be found on their website.

Admission is $35 per person for advance tickets and $40 day of the event. VIP tickets are $50 in advance and $60 day of. The event is benefiting Children’s Neighborhood of Children in Crisis, Inc.

WOBtoberfest October 12 & 13

World of Beer will be closing down Intendencia street and hosting their 1st annual WOBtoberfest this weekend. Billed as an 'outdoor beer and music fest' activites will take place 5pm - 11pm Friday and 11am - 11pm Saturday.

Live music will be both inside World of Beer as well as street side. The Friday lineup includes Lucid Lyons, Trunk Monkey, and Chris Nathan, while Saturday features Lektric Mullet, Swerve, Audea, and Heritage.
